db9 kids edition is the local youth boulder competition of Bouldercentrum Delfts Bleau! You can join if you are born between 2016 (U11) and 2011 (U15) (season 2024- 2025). A competition with about 16 new, special competition style boulders, from 4 to 7a, with a maximum of 9 attempts per boulder. Scoring is based on the IFSC format, where the number of tops, the number of zones and the number of attempts you needed to reach these tops and zones determine your score. You keep your own score and after you finished your last boulder, you hand in your scorecard.
If you have about a year of boulderexperience, and even better already have done some competitions in the Youth Series you will like this competition. If you’ve never joined a bouldering competition the db9 might be too challenging, but feel free to try!
The next competition will be on Saturday 15 February 2025. Db9 kids edition can be made possible thanks to some sponsors, for this year it’s La Sportiva.
The competition starts at 9.30h and you have till 12h to hand in your scorecard. The prize ceremony is at 12.30h. To join there are no extra costs, just your normal entry fee.
If you are born in 2010 or earlier you are welcome to join the adult edition of the db9 on Friday 14 February 2025. Categories U17, U19 and U21 will join the adult edition.
